Temperature Monitoring (Con't):

Temperature monitoring has proven particularly useful in assessing the extinguishment efforts at the Campbell Mountain Landfill fire.  The initial temperature results are presented graphically in Figure 1.  The initial thermister readings confirmed that the fire was limited to the vicinity of the sink hole in the central portion of the North Ravine, near MW-3.
