Investigation
Determining whether a fire was
caused by a spontaneous combustion, excessive draw on a gas well,
arson, a hot load or some other cause is essential once the fire
is successfully extinguished. A review of the incident, site conditions
and operational history often present evidence to the true cause
of a fire incident. Steps can then be taken to reduce the likelihood
of a similar incident starting again.
